A decade ago, Housing First was a misunderstood innovation being piloted in just a handful of areas. Today, there is a strong national movement and 150 services in operation across the country.
We are lucky to have Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, Housing First pilot area and co-host of our conference, as well as Jo Prestidge and Alex Smith from Homeless Link who have between them been integral in leading and supporting the Housing First movement in England.
Our opening keynote speakers will consider the enabling factors, and how challenges were overcome. Looking forward, questions will be posed about the future of Housing First and what is needed to embed this highly effective innovation into the mainstream.
