About this speaker
Ayodele Ogunjobi is currently working for Centrepoint as a Housing First Officer and is based in London Borough of Haringey and works with disengaged complex care leavers who are living in their own accommodation without engaging with professionals who can support with their mental health , arrears etc.
She pursued a career working with young adults due to her concern with the changes of government policies and how they affected young people. She has a passion to ensure that young people are being heard and are part of the process and not an outsider looking in, as this can continue into Adulthood for some of the young people.
She has completed a Youth Work Professional Qualification at Durham University and went on to complete her Postgraduate Diploma in Disability Management in Work and Rehabilitation and her MSc in Youth Participation at University of London (Birkbeck College). She been working in the Young Adult sector for 17 years.
